737 MAX 7 & 10 Certification Delayed Into 2026 Due To Engine Anti-Ice Complications
Since their respective entries into service in 2017 and 2018, the 737 MAX 8 and MAX 9 have formed the backbone of the global 737 MAX fleet, generally performing reliably. However, certification hurdles remain for the two other variants—the smaller MAX 7 and the larger MAX 10. Airlines are especially eager to bring the MAX 10 into service, but ongoing delays now suggest that certification may not be completed until sometime in 2026.
