Emirates to Launch Premium Economy in 10 More Cities

Emirates is set to expand its highly popular Premium Economy cabin to 10 additional cities, as the Dubai-based carrier accelerates its strategy to bridge the gap between Business and Economy Class on key long-haul routes.

The expansion comes amid strong global demand for Premium Economy travel, with Emirates reporting consistently high load factors and positive customer feedback since the cabin’s initial rollout. The airline has positioned the product as a more spacious and refined option for travelers seeking enhanced comfort without the cost of Business Class.

While Emirates has yet to formally name all the new destinations, the additional cities are expected to span Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, focusing on high-demand routes served by retrofitted Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft.

Emirates’ Premium Economy cabin features wider leather seats, increased pitch, upgraded dining with premium tableware, dedicated cabin service, and enhanced amenities. On the A380, the cabin is located at the front of the main deck, offering a quieter and more exclusive experience.

The airline has been steadily retrofitting its widebody fleet as part of a multi-billion-dollar refurbishment program, which also includes upgraded Business Class cabins and refreshed interiors across all classes.

Industry analysts view the move as a strategic response to shifting passenger preferences, with more travelers prioritizing comfort and value amid rising airfares worldwide.

Emirates is expected to announce the specific routes and launch timelines for the new Premium Economy destinations in the coming weeks, further cementing its position as a leader in premium long-haul travel.
