Emirates Unveils Ultra-Luxury Airport Lounges With Dh50 Million Investment Per Location

Emirates is bringing its signature luxury from the skies to the airport terminal — unveiling a new generation of premium lounges backed by an investment of more than Dh50 million per location.

The Dubai-based airline has launched its redesigned lounge concept in Munich and Frankfurt, with more locations including Manchester, Mauritius and Istanbul set to receive the new experience as part of a global rollout.

The new lounges are designed to give travellers more than just a place to wait before boarding. Emirates says the concept brings the feel of its latest aircraft cabins into the airport environment, combining luxury interiors, technology and personalised hospitality.

A New Era of Premium Airport Travel

The upgraded lounges feature:

Dedicated zones for working, dining, relaxing and socializing
More private work areas with wireless charging and power access at every seat
Quiet zones for passengers needing rest during long journeys
Enhanced shower facilities and wellness-focused spaces
Local art displays celebrating Emirati culture

The design reflects Emirates’ modern cabin style, with elegant finishes including marble and gold accents, herringbone flooring, integrated lighting and the airline’s signature Ghaf Tree motif — a tribute to the UAE’s national tree.

Dining Becomes the Centrepiece

Emirates is also transforming the lounge dining experience with live cooking stations, made-to-order meals, regional specialities and locally inspired menus.

Travellers can enjoy speciality coffee, artisan teas and drinks prepared by dedicated baristas and mixologists, creating a more restaurant-style experience before take-off
