Etihad Nears Order for 10 More Boeing 787 Dreamliners Ahead of Farnborough Airshow
Etihad Airways is reportedly close to finalising an order for 10 additional Boeing 787 Dreamliners, a move that would further strengthen the Abu Dhabi-based carrier’s long-haul fleet as it continues its ambitious growth strategy.
According to industry sources, the agreement could be announced ahead of the Farnborough International Airshow later this month, provided negotiations are successfully concluded. While neither Etihad nor Boeing has officially confirmed the deal, the potential order signals continued confidence in the 787’s role within the airline’s expanding global network.
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner has become a key part of Etihad’s modern fleet, offering improved fuel efficiency, lower operating costs and enhanced passenger comfort on medium- and long-haul routes. Additional aircraft would provide the airline with greater flexibility as it introduces new destinations and increases frequencies on existing services.
