Jet2 Launches New 72-Hour App Update Ahead of Flight Departures

Jet2 is making it easier for passengers to stay informed before they fly with a new mobile app update that provides live flight information from 72 hours before departure.

The airline and holiday company has introduced new functionality within its Jet2 app, allowing customers to access live flight times, flight status and important updates during the crucial three days leading up to their journey.

The update is designed to give travellers more timely information and greater visibility over their journey, particularly as they get closer to departure. Instead of waiting until they arrive at the airport to check whether their flight has changed, passengers can use the app to monitor the latest information directly from their mobile device.

Jet2 says the new functionality forms part of its continued investment in improving the digital customer experience and making holidays simpler and more convenient.

The app update also provides additional information for customers travelling on Jet2holidays packages.

Travellers can now use the app to see where and when they can meet their Jet2 Customer Helper, including visit times, locations and the name of their Customer Helper.

The Jet2 app already allows customers to manage bookings, receive notifications and travel updates, access travel documents and use boarding passes digitally. Some important information, including boarding passes and saved travel documents, can also be accessed offline.

The 72-hour flight-information window is particularly useful for passengers approaching their departure date, when operational changes or delays can have the biggest impact on travel plans.

Jet2’s terms and conditions also advise customers to re-check their flight itinerary between 72 and 24 hours before travel to make sure they have not missed any changes.
