Japan Airlines Expands Osaka–Los Angeles Route to Daily Service Starting October 2025

Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced it will expand its Osaka (Kansai International Airport) to Los Angeles (LAX) route to a daily service beginning in October 2025, marking a significant enhancement in connectivity between Japan and the United States.

The move comes as transpacific travel continues to surge, driven by strong demand from both business and leisure travelers. Currently operated several times a week, the Osaka–Los Angeles route has proven popular among passengers seeking direct access to Japan’s Kansai region and Southern California.

According to JAL, the expansion will not only provide greater flexibility for passengers but also support growing cargo operations between the two markets. The airline plans to operate the route using its Boeing 787 Dreamliner, offering passengers a blend of comfort, fuel efficiency, and advanced onboard amenities.

A spokesperson for Japan Airlines said, “Expanding this route to daily service underscores our commitment to meeting passenger demand and strengthening Japan’s air links with the United States. We’re excited to offer more convenience and connectivity for travelers on both sides of the Pacific.”

With this expansion, JAL continues to bolster its international network, complementing its existing Tokyo–Los Angeles and San Francisco routes. The airline aims to further position itself as a key bridge between Asia and North America as global travel rebounds.
