Chaos Strikes Middle East Aviation as Dozens of Flights Are Grounded and Delayed

Air travel across the Middle East was thrown into chaos as 23 flights were grounded and 81 delayed in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Dubai, severely impacting operations at major airports including Dubai International, Riyadh, Jeddah, and Bahrain International.

Airlines FlyDubai, Saudia, and Gulf Air were among the worst affected, with passengers reporting missed connections, long queues, and limited communication amid the disruption. Industry sources cite airspace congestion and operational bottlenecks as contributing factors.

Airlines say recovery efforts are underway, but travelers are urged to check flight status frequently and expect further delays as schedules stabilize.
