Turkish Airlines Announces Leadership Changes Amid Growth Plans
Turkish Airlines has announced significant changes to its executive leadership team, appointing new figures to both the chairman and chief executive roles as the carrier continues its global growth strategy.
Prof. Murat Şeker has been named Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Formerly the airline’s Chief Financial Officer, Şeker joined Turkish Airlines in 2016 and has played a major role in finance, treasury, procurement, and investor relations. He also previously held positions with the World Bank and Ziraat Bank.
Meanwhile, Ahmet Olmuştur has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. He began his journey with Turkish Airlines in 2000 as a part-time call center employee and rose through the ranks in revenue management, pricing, sales, and marketing before most recently serving as Chief Commercial Officer.
The airline says the appointments support its long-term corporate goals and will help strengthen its position in the highly competitive global aviation market. With its hub in Istanbul, Turkish Airlines continues to expand one of the world’s largest international route networks.
