Air France Unveils New Seating on Embraer Fleet

ir France has introduced a brand-new seating experience on its Embraer regional aircraft, marking a significant step in enhancing passenger comfort on short and medium-haul routes.

The airline, which operates one of Europe’s largest fleets of Embraer jets through its regional subsidiary HOP!, revealed the upgraded cabin design featuring modern slimline seats, improved ergonomics, and enhanced personal space.

According to Air France, the new seats are lighter, allowing for better fuel efficiency while maintaining passenger comfort. Each seat has been fitted with USB charging ports, an updated tray table design, and extra storage for personal items. Wider seat backs and new cushioning aim to improve support during flights, while an updated cabin layout improves boarding and disembarkation flow.

Anne Rigail, CEO of Air France, stated: “Our new Embraer seating is designed to reflect the Air France spirit — a balance between comfort, efficiency, and sustainability. These aircraft connect cities across France and Europe, and we want every passenger to enjoy the same high standards they expect on our longer flights.”

The rollout will begin later this year across the Embraer 170 and 190 fleet, primarily serving domestic French routes and key European destinations.

This move is part of Air France’s broader investment in fleet modernization and customer experience, complementing recent upgrades in digital services and long-haul cabins.
